A headache certainly can be a symptom of high blood pressure (hypertension) but it would usually include some other symptoms as well. Other common symptoms can include nose bleeds, blurred vision, a buzzing or ringing sound in the ears, and even nausea or dizziness. I’ve seen patients with high blood pressure present in many different ways. The best way to discover an actual hypertension diagnosis is by having your doctor regularly monitor your blood pressure, especially if you have risk factors for it.
HELP! I have had a headache for 3 days. Why?
I have had as dull headacge on both sides of my head for 2 and a half days. I have a history of headaches, but not one that lasts this long. I have tried extra strenghth tylenol and ibuprofen but nothing works for more than a couple minutes. It isnt sharp, but dull and pulsing/pounding. It hasn’t really slowed me down, but it shows no sign of going away. I have anxiety problems so I have always thought it was tension. It is in my temples mostly, but also my forehead and sometimes the back of my head/neck. but ,mostly temples. What should I do and is this serious? Im a 14 yr old girl if that helps.
Yes, I have an anxiety disorder similar to OCD. which is why i thought it was a tension headache
Are you worried about anything? could be stress related, stress headache or else if you suffer a lot from headaches it could be migraine. try putting sun glasses on while watching tv or looking at the computer screen, it helps, and also a cold ice pack wrapped in a cloth and apply it to your head for a few mins. i do know what your going through i suffer a lot from headaches which i got diagnosed as migraines. if headache is not gone or nothing is helping with the pain then go see a doctor. i had to visit my doctor about a month ago, nothing would take away the pain and i had to get injection to ease it. after 20 mins the pain eased off. worst headache of my life.
